CONGRATULATIONS

CADILLAC COMMONWEALTH CUP
THE British team achieved an outstanding victory to lift the Commonwealth Cup for only the fourth time in the past 20 years. Their strength and aggression rocked the home-side and they had the edge at crucial moments in the game. Click for full story

FOUR-NATIONS TOURNAMENT (NIGERIA) JANUARY 2005
THE CSPA has been invited to take part in a four-nations tournament in Nigeria from January 11 to 15 2005 along with the Pakistan, US and Nigerian military. Team selection will be in October and anyone who wishes to be considered, and is in the military with a polo plus handicap, should contact Mark Cann by email only (markcann@cspa.org.uk).

ARMY TOUR TO ARGENTINA
THE Army Polo Association has confirmed that its tour to Argentina is definitely going ahead in the last two weeks of October. Anybody interested in the tour should contact APA Secretary Cpt Mark Dollar at markdollar@postmaster.co.uk

CHAPPLE CUP SERIES
THIS year the CSPA faced up to a strong touring team from the Eastern Circuit United States Polo Association. For the first time ever all hinged on the final game of this three-match series at Guards Polo Club, with the first match being drawn and the second going in favour of the CSPA. Click for full story

INTER-REGIMENTAL CUP FINAL
THE Household Cavalry Regiment and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst battled it out to lift the coveted Inter-Regimental Cup Guards Polo Club. It was a welcome return to Guards after a number of years absence and the day was heralded a huge success by sponsors, spectators and organisers alike. Click for full story

RUNDLE CUP
THE Army and Royal Navy clashed at Tidworth Polo Club in the annual spectacle that is Rundle Cup Day. For the past three years the Navy have walked away with the spoils but this year the Army, which had called on players from all over, were not going to let them have it all their own way. TEAMS FOR CSPA FIXTURES JULY 2005
TEAMS have been selected by Chairman CSPA to play in the fixtures at Sandhurst, Tidworth and Guards this July. Players are reminded that this is a selection for the Combined Services and should be regarded as such when prioritising other commitments. ARMY POLO ASSOCIATION
IT'S a busy time for the Army Polo Association. Membership levels are good and training has gone well. On the competition front there is the Inter-Regimental Tournament plus the Captains and Subalterns Tournament. There have also been developments on this year's winter tour. Click for full story

RAF TRAINING-END AT CRANWELL
THE Royal Air Force Polo Association enjoyed its second polo training weekend at RAF Cranwell in May. It was hugely popular, with both the members and the growing numbers of supporters, and provides a solid foundation for RAF members to roll straight into the oncoming polo season. INSURANCE – HPA MEMBERS
CONFIRMATION of insurance cover for HPA members for April 1 2005 to March 31 2006 has finally been received. The cover has been agreed with Hamilton and Partners and is underwritten by Brit Insurance Ltd. The cover is for Public Liability only; there is no player to player cover. Click for full story
